1. Mixed-flow grain dryer: This dryer typically consists of a staggered arrangement of triangular or pentagonal boxes. Its advantage lies in the uniform supply of hot air, resulting in uniform dried grain. Under the same conditions, this dryer consumes less fan power and less drying medium. It is suitable for drying a variety of grains and seeds, is easy to clean, and is less likely to cause seed mixing.

2. Cocurrent-flow grain dryer: Cocurrent-flow grain dryers operate by combining a funnel-shaped air inlet with a pentagonal box exhaust duct. Unlike mixed-flow dryers, this dryer uses multiple hot air ducts to provide different levels of hot air, rather than a single main air duct. This dryer offers high drying efficiency and is suitable for drying crops and seeds with high moisture content.

3. Cross-flow grain dryer: This type of dryer was introduced to my country and typically features cylindrical or tower-shaped screen holes. Its advantages lie in its simple manufacturing and installation process and high production efficiency. However, rice drying uniformity is poor, unit heat consumption is high, and multi-purpose drying is not possible with one machine. Furthermore, the dried grain often fails to meet standards.

In addition, dryers can be categorized by the type of material being dried, such as pharmaceutical dryers, agricultural and sideline product dryers, edible fungus dryers, fruit and vegetable chip dryers, nut dryers, spice dryers, aquatic product dryers, meat dryers, coarse grain food dryers, textile dryers, leather dryers, wood dryers, and new material dryers. Dryers can also be categorized by structure, such as tower dryers, belt dryers, and rotary drum dryers.

1. By structure: Grain dryers can be divided into tower dryers, box dryers, tunnel dryers, and continuous dryers.

2. By heat source: Grain dryers can be divided into coal-fired dryers, oil-fired dryers, gas-fired dryers, biomass dryers, and electric dryers.

3. Classification by Application: Grain dryers can be categorized as wheat dryers, rice dryers, corn dryers, soybean dryers, etc.

It's important to note that different grain dryers have different characteristics and applications, so users should choose one based on their specific needs.
